About us

Flamingo is an independent gift shop in Dartmouth, Devon with old-fashioned values. We aim to provide a personal service often promised, but rarely delivered these days. Flamingo is owned and run by Julian and Jenny Chudley, assisted by Elaine French. Our aim is to be just that little bit different and we achieve this by stocking a wide range of items with ‘Wow’ factor from under £1 up to £3000. So, if you want original artwork and sculpture, traditional and nostalgic games, hand-made glassware, individual solid wood furniture, hand-made leather journals, designer homeware, quirky novelty gifts, mirrors, clocks, music-themed gifts, panama hats, candles, organic soaps and toiletries and much more, then browse our website or come and see us.

Where possible we try to source our gifts from the South West and the British Isles. We do look for local, hand-made, organic and environmentally friendly items, although we do not restrict ourselves to any of these if we find something that we think our customers will like!

We enjoy the sourcing and buying of new lines of gifts and hope that this is obvious to you. We can of course supply everything by Mail order but we would like to see you in the shop as well, so why not take the opportunity to come and see us in person.
